The purpose of electronic surveillance is reducing the cost of traditional monitoring, personal referrals and increase productivity, the use of electronic communication and looking for appropriate and efficient mechanisms. By changing the system and structure of executive bodies, it is clear that traditional methods for monitoring the performance and efficiency are not enough. And thus “electronic monitoring" is a new concept in the field of supervision and inspection that efficiently serve and complete the processes and facilitate monitoring and today it is one of the most important methods used by regulatory bodies. With the increasing deployment of e-govern ment, one of the main problems of monitoring and inspections in Iran is using the old and traditional tools and methods of monitoring and detecting crime and systematic implementation of electronic monitoring could be an appropriate tool to prevent, detect crime, and the realization of e-government. It is essential for GIO to use the electronic surveillance by which the prevention and rapid and accurate detection of crimes will improve the ability of this organization to achieve the goals and missions as well as economizing on costs.
